Okay, I was going to wait to get this blog exactly like I want it before sending it out to everyone, but I've come to the conclusion that it's just going to have be a work in progress otherwise it will never get done!! So please bear with me. :-)
To get into the Christmas spirit, we made homemade gingerbread cookies for the first time this year, and the kids really enjoyed it.

Then today as Madi is having lunch, she produces these works of art:
She had pink yogurt and dried blueberries with her lunch. And she asked me for 2 of the little gingerbread sugar cookies that I made with leftover dough from the cookies I was making for Nolan's class. I said sure even though I knew she wouldn't eat them. And she told me they were for her baby dolls (who were sitting beside her while she ate). So, as she's eating and I am baking cookies, I hear her talking to her dolls (more like reprimanding them for their misbehavior) and then she announces she is done but she wants to save the cookies she 'made'. Not sure what she is talking about, I walk over to look and find the gingerbread cookies slathered in pink yogurt and decorated with dried blueberries. She definitely keeps our lives interesting!! Tune in again soon (hopefully) for more holiday happenings in the Burnett household.
